Erasure Animation: A LITTLE MEMORY (Trailer), 2016
Software: Charcoal Drawing, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere
A young woman who is in a hopeless situation walks on the street. An abandoned kite triggers a memory of her grandmother and childhood. As she goes back to the old house, a series memory and a fantasy come out in her mind. These uplifting memories comfort her and remind her that her grandmother is still with her.
Based on my performance, this is section 13 of my animation. I began with charcoal drawings on paper. Then I photographed the steps of erasure and redrawing, like in stop motion. Next, I used After Effects to put the still images into a moving sequence. At this point, I used Photoshop to clean and sharpen the details. The final look is as shown on the right in the video.
